This half day training session is for website owners who want to understand more about Search Engine Optimisation. The course will give you confidence to devise your own SEO strategy and implement some of the essentials.

It will give you a broad introduction to Search Engine Optimisation. You will be shown the tools and skills to do your own research and check your web site's positioning in a Google search. You will gain an understanding of how to write successful copy for your website, improving its relevance. The course touches on identifying customers and directing your marketing to particular groups.

This training session covers:

Setting up Google Analytics
Pay per click or natural optimisation
Reading and understanding your statistics
Figuring out which keywords to focus on
Where to put the keywords on your site
Useful tools
Optimising products and services for ecommerce
Internet marketing and promoting
Internal and External Links
Social Networking

The training is provided by Sue Orton-Flynn, the director of Sensable Media. She has a doctorate in interface design for accessibility and has been designing and building websites for over 8 years.
